What Have We Been Up To?

June 2011 

  • The Waterline Companies, The Yarmouth-Dennis Septage Treatment Facility, and Munro Distributing officially commemorated the completion of the largest operating photovoltaic array on Cape Cod with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday June, 22, 2011. Waterline designed and installed the 276kW roof mounted solar array system at the Yarmouth-Dennis Septage Treatment Facility and will save the town $1,000,000 over the life of the system.  Click Here to read the story.
  • Waterline Alternative Energies participated in National Dairy Month at Whittier Farms in Sutton, MA. We set up an informational table and a live solar panel display to show guests just how solar energy works!

  • We gave away a hard hat this month.  Not just any hard hat, but one signed by Bruins Alumni  Rick Middleton through our FaceBook contest.  Make sure you join us on FaceBook to win other great prizes!

April 2011

  • Waterline's project in Lee, MA won the State Revolving Fund (SRF) Innovation and Excellence Award!  Representatives from the team attended the Award Ceremony .Click Here for more details on the project and the ceremony.
  • WAE signed another solar contract for a commercial farm installation in Sherborn MA worth just shy of $400k.
  •  It’s a 60kW ground mounted array  - congratulations to our team! Nice work!

  • On April 29th, Waterline Industries held a successful Blood Drive -20 Bags collected!
  • Portsmouth HS held a 5k "Run for Sol" race on a Saturday to raise money for solar panels for the school.  Waterline had a team of 13 participate in this fundraiser. 

March 2011 

  • WAE signed a contract for a 150kW ground mounted solar array (same concept as North Conway at 167kW) for a commercial farm installation in Sutton MA. Contract value is just north of $900k. Nice job team!
  • Our team completed the hybrid system installation at the Falmouth High School in Falmouth, MA. This system was designed to include a 4.3 kW solar array and a 10 kW Bergey Excel Wind Turbine. The main incentive for this installation was for the school to use the hybrid system for educational purposes and to include in their curriculum. Therefore, a 100' tilt-down hydraulic monopole tower was included in the design.
