Municipal Alternative Energy Solutions

Utility budgets have been, and continue to be, one of the largest municipal concerns year after year.  Electricity bills expend a large portion of a town's budget, and leave local officials wondering how they can combat this issue in future years.

Well, not anymore because Waterline has your answer. With no upfront capital cost, your town can install an alternative energy system that will produce a large percentage of the town's electricity needs. How is this possible you wonder?

It is simple. With the help of a Power Purchase Agreement, your town can purchase electricity at a lower rate than they are currently paying the utility provider. You will be saving money and the environment!

Waterline Industries and Waterline Alternative Energies work together to design and install a your system, with the use of no subcontractors. Unlike other companies, Waterline self-performs every step of the project from beginning to end

Waterline Industries Corporation was awarded the contract as general contractor in December of 2009 to install a 167.44 kW solar array at the North Conway City Water Precinct.  Affiliate company Waterline Alternative Energies ground mounted this 760 panel, custom designed system and installed 2 inverters to track output and efficiency.

All system components utilized in this array were manufactured in the USA. This system is the largest photovoltaic solar array in the state of New Hampshire and will avoid the release of approximately 328,305 pounds of carbon. This is equivalent to planting 32 acres of trees!

The Towns of Yarmouth and Dennis, MA issued a request for proposals for a a photovoltaic system on town land. Waterline Alternative Energies was awarded the contract based on their ability to satisfy the technical qualifications of the proposal and the capacity of their proposed system design to provide value to the town. The structure of the power purchase agreement between Waterline and Yarmouth will save the town $33,000  of utility expenses in the first year alone. Waterline is constructing a 276 kW photovoltaic system on the roof of the Department of Public Works’ effluent storage tank. By utilizing otherwise unusable space, the town will be receiving over 300,000 kWh annually of clean, renewable energy.  The taxpayers in Yarmouth will be the beneficiary of these savings.
